The Future Dream Savings Club is a savings account that pays a higher interest rate than our basic savings account to allow you to jump-start saving for your child’s educational future. Getting started is easy:

  1. Join 1st Bergen FCU online and select “Future Dream Club” when selecting your accounts*

  2. Fill out the Matched Savings Program Interest Form** below and a 1st Bergen representative will follow up with you with enrollment instructions.

  3. Make regular deposits into the account, such as through Direct Deposit

  4. We’ll match your deposits up to $600 per program participant and help you stay on track with your family’s savings goals through our no-cost financial coaching program.

As of August 25th, 2025, enrollment is open for new program participants. Enrollment is currently limited to one adult per household plus their children.

Eligibility is restricted to:
1. Households under AMI of 80% (About $99,000 for a household of 3)
2. Households receiving certain income-restricted benefits, including Head Start, SNAP, Free & Reduced Lunch, etc.
3. Employees of 1st Bergen sponsor agencies

Act fast — are a limited number of enrollments available for this round of the Matched Savings program. Enrollments will processed in the order they are received.

After opening the account, we encourage you to take advantage of our no-cost financial counseling to stay on track with your goals.

*The Future Dream account is available to all families that qualify for 1st Bergen membership. Matching funds are only available to households who (a) have a total household income at or below 80% of the Metropolitan Area Median Income (AMI), adjusted for household size, (b) receive benefits through an income-restricted federal or state program, or (c) are employees of 1st Bergen sponsor organizations. **Matched Savings Program enrollment is separate from opening a Future Dream club. Terms and conditions apply. Eligible members can receive up to $600.00 in matched deposits through May 31st, 2026. Enrollments are limited and may be ended at any time.
